Book Reviews for The Path of Life
"The theories in The Path of
Life have countless ties with modern science. From the point of view
of philosophy, The Path of Life
proposes the true nature of the universe (the four
eternities—time, space, material, and spirit), and then proposes the
unification of the materialism and idealism. This unified theory
completely explains the fundamental problems of philosophy. With this
unified theory we observe this world and we probably come to a sudden
realization and therefore reach a higher level of understanding. In this
world all of the causes and effects, origins and developments are simple
and yet complicated. Even though the proposed “four eternities” is a
hypothesis, we have to admit that it is a reasonable hypothesis; it
greatly broadens our horizon, and it enriches and develops humanity
philosophy.
Master Ou’s teaching relates to many
fundamental definitions of natural science so that his teaching not only
can propose special ideas for natural science but also can develop the
research areas of natural science to certain levels and display the
forecast of natural science……Relating to the development of mathematics
The Path of Life—the history of the universe is very interesting which
develops from an infinite continuity (the past universe) to infinite
discontinuity (the eternal future world) and then to the highly
unification of material and sprite (the divine power). They are
respectively similar to mathematics’ infinitely repeated fractions,
infinitely unrepeated irrational numbers, and complex numbers formed with
the real and imaginary parts. Calculus, a subject analyzing the
instantaneous changes and the accumulative changes, and Master Ou’s
philosophy about the expositions of human being’s good and evil and the
accumulations of the good and evil (the total judgement) have some
similarities. Does mathematics have hidden messages of mankind’s history
and future? ...... It is predictable that Master Ou’s “divine power” will
be able to explain mystical phenomenon such as telekinesis, applying the
mind to get things, treating diseases with Qigong…….Master Ou’s definition
about “imagination speed” describes the super light speed of “spiritual”
material movements. The development of modern natural science will become
a subject of “divine power”.
Accordingly The Path of Life grants us
such a type of cosmology: One side becomes multiple sides, parts become
whole, finiteness becomes infiniteness, and instantaneousness become
eternity; and the infinite eternity requires us to learn, to experience,
to exchange, and to conclude persistently. "

"I have been sick for a long time. One night
between 2:30am and 3:30am I suddenly felt extremely painful in my stomach
and my gall bladder. According to my past experience, I had to go to the
emergency room when I had serious stomachache or gall bladder ache. What
should I do? After I thought carefully, I made up my mind to practice Pan
Gu Shengong and read The Path of Life with my aches. I also
covered the painful area with the book and at the same time put Master
Ou’s name card on the top of the area. Consequently the name card kept
sticking with the pain area, and I eased from the pain gradually and could
go into sleep before long. The name card didn’t fall off until the next
day morning when I woke up. I felt very energetic and I could go to
work."

"In order to investigate the truth, I have the
honor to read The Path of Life. After reading it I understand the
principle of conducting oneself —“Take kindness and benevolence as basis.
Take frankness and friendliness to heart.” My understanding reaches a new
horizon, and I particularly have some new ideas towards philosophy
problems regarding material and sprite, materialism and idealism. I work
on natural science in which many things seem opposite and yet actually
mutual-communicated. For instance, after learning Calculus I know that
curves and straight lines are mutually communicated: infinite number of
curves can make up one straight line, and infinite number of straight
lines can make up one curve. Generally speaking, curves are straight
lines and straight lines are curves. Within the research area of social
science, materialism and idealism, material and sprite are always
considered opposite philosophies from the traditional point of view.
However, from the experience of using Pan Gu Shengong to treat diseases, I
realize that it is primary to apply the mind and use the divine power to
treat diseases. The mind is the divine power, the material, and even the
soul. Therefore, I realize that opposite philosophies such as spirit and
material, materialism and idealism, which should be in common with
opposite elements in natural science, are mutually communicated.
Consequently, fortune and misfortune, unhappiness and happiness, good and
evil, etc. are mutually communicated as well.
Through studying The Path of Life, my
understanding improves and my mind becomes broader. I become more kind
and mature, happier, and healthier. "

" I had nerve atrophy in the upper rim of my
right eye and I often had headache. My vision reduced, and I had headache
like lightening when being stressful, reading for a long time or watching
TV. I went to see an ophthalmologist for ten years and didn’t gain much
improvement. With my ophthalmologist’s prescription I wore a pair of
glasses, but my situation didn’t improve much as well.
After learning Pan Gu Shengong, I really
wanted to improve my theoretical understandings towards Pan Gu Shengong,
so I bought The Path of Life. One day when I was reading the third
volume and thinking problems attentively, suddenly I sensed that there was
a kind of air stream flowing into my body which made me feel very
relaxed. At that time I doubted whether I was oversensitive. Therefore I
closed the book for a while and then opened it again. However, the same
sensation came to me again. I repeated what I did several times and I got
the same result. From then on, I could continue reading for one to two
hours without feeling any headache, and my eyes healed as the ache from
the dry eyes disappeared. "

"Reading The Path of Life I
acquire lots of knowledge as it encourages people to be kind and it
teaches people the principle of conducting oneself, “Take kindness and
benevolence as basis. Take frankness and friendliness to heart.”
According to “agonizing trails of the agonizing heart and soul”, I need to
continuously reform my own shortcomings and mistakes so as to refine
myself. That is not only the torture to the flesh but also the torture to
the soul which will help me improve my understanding persistently.
The Path of Life makes me realize that
one cannot primarily be receiving but more importantly make more
contributions; to fulfill the eternal future world, everyone should
contribute more and demand less.
I learn a lot from The Path of Life of
which content is extremely abundant, and I am attracted by the
description of the wonderful eternal future world. Nevertheless, I am
confused with some information: Is it Pan Gu who creates, arranges and
manages everything? Will the wonderful eternal future world come true?
Can contemporaries along with their flesh enter the eternal future world?
Among these three questions, I think the first question is the key of
The Path of Life.
Even though the mankind knew very little about
the mystery of the nature, several generations of scientists had
researches and explorations on the origin of the mankind and they came to
the conclusion—anthropoid apes developed to human beings. All of these
scientists were the essence of the mankind, and they should be the pride
of the mankind as they devoted their whole lives to the researches and had
the conclusion. Even though I haven’t seen anthropoid apes, I shouldn’t
easily object to their conclusion. On the other hand I also believe that
Master Ou’s miraculous experience is real. From the objective point of
view, according to Master Ou’s age, experience, and knowledge, it is
impossible for him to write a book like an encyclopedia with extraordinary
rich information. Therefore, I cannot deny that Pan Gu creates and
manages the mankind. At the same time I have deeply experienced the
mystical power granted by Pan Gu; and for several times during the
practice it helps me heal my own diseases and my family members’
diseases. Again, I cannot deny Pan Gu’s existence accordingly.
Whether human beings developed from anthropoid
apes or Pan Gu created human beings? It directly affects the penetrating
learning about The Path of Life because if I have denied the
latter, the information in the book would not be true. I cannot easily
deny the former; however, from the bottom of my heart I prefer to admit
the latter since it gives me hopes and more importantly gives me energies,
the infinite universal energies! During the contradictory thinking, I
hypothesize that the latter exists, yet hypothesis has to be proved with
the evidence. I sincerely wish that the truth will be revealed soon while
its mysterious veil is removed.
(Note: Master Ou started to write The
Path of Life when he was only thirty six years old, and he finished
the book when he was forty years old.) "

"After reading the book, The Path of Life,
I come to realize the value of life, the dialectical philosophy of life,
and the treasure of life. I also understand how to make my great efforts
and contributions for the wonderful eternal future world!
'Take kindness and benevolence as basis. Take
frankness and friendliness to heart.'—let us remember this principle of
conducting ourselves forever and persistently have the principle as the
self-discipline to restrain ourselves. Consequently, we will experience
that our lives in this world are full of happiness, fullness, and
meaningfulness. "

"I
often read The Path of Life and put it on the part of my body where
I felt discomfort with; consequently, my diseases reduced or even healed.
I thought there were three reasons.
First, The Path of Life is a new theory
of the universe, and it includes all kinds of knowledge (cosmogony,
physics, philosophy, health science, etc.) which greatly help us study the
world, especially understanding religious doctrines and the nature of
things.
It is very difficult for us, modern men, to
understand ancient classics, particularly what were described in religious
doctrines. However, after reading The Path of Life, I can
understand them naturally. Like ancient sages, Master Ou saw that when
the universe primarily formed there was nothing but indistinct chaos, and
then later on there were vitality (all types of materialistic elements)
and Pan Gu. Pan Gu used his own power to work on the vitality which
became more and infinitely more, hence all things in the university
formed.
From above we can deduce: Diseases arise from
bad Qi (the harmful materialistic elements) and therefore can be treated
with good Qi (the beneficial materialistic elements). If we can make good
use of the related principles, then we can heal our own bodies. At the
same time, The Path of Life is full of philosophies which make
readers consider their diseases and sufferings as unavoidable agonizing
tortures; therefore, reading the book they can relieve their frustrations
easily and achieve better health.
Secondly, The Path of Life reveals all
kinds of chaos’ wonderful scenes which actually lead readers to enter a
kind of unconscious Qigong practice. In this book there are lots of
descriptions about the scenes, and those scenes are what Qigong
practitioners can see in a high-level Qigong state. When readers are
reading this book, they are actually experiencing a high-level Qigong
state and Qigong practice which are also considered as a process of
treating diseases.
Thirdly, The Path of Life may carry a
Qi field and carry the energies which haven’t been detected by the modern
science. When someone wants to use this book to treat diseases, under a
consciously relaxed state, one can receive the energies emitted from this
book, and the energies heal the diseases. Also there are possibly other
reasons such as one’s psychological factor or other factors; no matter
what kind of factor, we should analyze it and make good use of it as long
as it is beneficial to people’s physical or mental health. ……
Miracles are merely things different from the
ordinary. However, things in this world differ in thousands of ways.
Therefore, we cannot assume that miracles will often occur after we
experience one. It is very important that we keep on practicing Pan Gu
Shengong and reading Master Ou’s books and keep on exploring and
experiencing to seize the particular feelings towards the effects occurred
accidentally. And this type of feeling is the key for us to improve our
effects."
