Henry Mccann

Pangu Shengong (Pan Gu Mystical Qigong) instructor who is certified to teach the Moving Form and the Nonmoving Form.

Henry McCann is a professional doctor of acupuncture and Chinese traditional medicine. He has practiced Asian martial and healing movement arts since the age of 10. Henry studied Chinese medicine initially at the New England School of Acupuncture in the Greater Boston Area, where he also practiced for several years. In 2001 he relocated to his home state of New Jersey. In his clinic, Henry practices acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. He also teaches patients Qigong and other methods to maintain health and longevity. In addition to practicing Pangu Shengong Henry is a 12th generation lineage disciple of Chen Style Taijiquan, a 3rd generation lineage disciple of Hunyuan Chen Style Taijiquan, and a lineage disciple in a school of Daoist Neigong.

Henry’s comment about Pangu Shengong:

I first heard about Pangu Shengong while studying Taijiquan under Vincent Chu and his father Gin Soon Chu. While I had practiced other Qigong systems for several years by then, I became interested in Pangu Shengong. When I initially learned Pangu Shengong I made the commitment to practice for at least a month to see how if felt in my own body. Although at first I was skeptical because of it’s relatively easy to learn form, I persisted in practicing. What I discovered was that the Pangu Shengong moving form was very effective at what it promised; I started feeling better in general and noticed I was sick much less often. Furthermore, Pangu Shengong was a system that I could add into my otherwise hectic schedule as the time required for practice was modest compared with many other Qigong systems.

The reason that Henry McCann wanted to be a Pangu Shengong instructor:

I had such a positive experience with Pangu Shengong that I knew I wanted to share it with my patients. Like me, many of them live very busy lives and are hard pressed to find time to take care of themselves. Pangu Shengong is a viable option for most. I can teach it in a short period of time, and patients can practice daily for only about 20 minutes. Once they start practicing, they realize the significant potential health benefits that can be theirs for a relatively small investment in time and money. My patients often hear me say that if everyone practiced Qigong, I’d be out of work!
