The second wonderful trip to Merida, Mexico, 2010
« on: July 20, 2010, 10:21:55 AM »
In July 2010 Master Ou and his family returned to Merida for a second visit.  I am certain that this is just the beginning of teaching Pangu Shengong in Latin America and the Caribbean. As I look back on the more than 300 pictures, I realize that every moment can be miraculous if we are in the mindset to notice.  Here are some pictures to give you a feeling of the remarkable time. The first is the group of students and participants.

The next is an example of one of the wonderful dishes prepared by Chef Ou and family.  Notice it has a balance and harmony, not to mention energetic qualities that made it delicious.

The second visit by Master Ou and his family to Merida was inspiring. His care and love towards others manifests in attention to detail, courtesy, generosity, and of course the physical and emotional healing he provides to all. Here he embraces the view from atop the pyramid at Izamal.

Izamal has a famous church, made from the stones of the old pyramids in the area. This is not uncommon in the region. Often you can find examples of the older work being superior to what has come afterwards.

This is the upper portion of a pyramid dedicated to the Mayan god of healing.

One of my favorite experiences was cooling our feet in the cenote. Cenotes are natural openings of fresh water that are found throughout the Yucatan.  To this day they are used as sources of water.  There is a special small fish, about the size of a minnow, that will come and clean the skin of your feet if you remain still.

I have visited the Uxmal several times, but Master Ou has a special insight into some of the symbolism express in the carving and architecture of the pyramids. For example the "trunk" on the rain god chac, that has been compared to the nose of an elephant, he explained was a representation of clouds. Indeed that is likely since there were no elephants in the region and a rain god would be associated with clouds.

The Maya described the earth as "Earth-sky." When you look at some of the carving, particularly in the open plazas, you can see the attempt to express the union of earth and sky in symbolic form. Here are a few spiritual tourists. The stairs and entry into the pyramid may represent the concept of the steep path to enter heaven.  Master Ou pointed out many times that the carving by the Maya often represented their spiritual vision of the universe.  Interestingly, the Polol Vuh, considered by some to be the equivalent of the Mayan bible, describes how the gods tried various times to create man.  Their first attempts resulted in the creation of animals and monkeys; finally man was created from the corn.

As Master Ou described the pyramid, I couldn't help but think about his guided meditations.  What we make in the world can only be a reflection of what we are in our souls.  How could it be anything else?

Hello Richard. I am sorry you can't see the pictures, I don't know why.  The worlds' remarkable ancient cultures all placed a great value on the shaman for healing and insight into man's place in the universe.  Master Ou said that that Maya , and others, could not have done such precise astronomical calculations without a special method of insight.  Consciousness (spirit) is not localized to just our heads.  With the right training we can "know" and experience the world from other points of view.  These supernatural abilities could be invoked through certain methods, although most are probably lost to us now. What is inspiring is that Master Ou is encouraging us to all do our best.  His six or seven qigongs bring us all closer to our real potential.  Personally, I am really looking forward to the next 20 years, the possibilities now are as wide as the open sea. Before learning Pangu Shengong I felt like I was sucessful, but now I am beginning to feel that the soul will be sucessful.

Let me share a few of the many insights that Master Ou spoke about.  These don't really have an order, they are orbiting around.

The love and kindness that is proposed by Pangu is the key.
The love that he promotes has two aspects: respect and contribution. Respect your body; supplement the energy from the universe.
Our body has a relationship not just with physical aspects of the world, but also with energetic elements.
We speak of heart, because that is what we know, but the essence is really the soul.
The key to healing is through the love in your heart' to bring in the love of the universe.
Why do we suffer in this world? Based on the human structure, because our mind and body are in disaccord.
It is difficult to achieve our dreams and desires, at the same time society restricts our options. The non-moving form is a beginning technique to resolve this conflict. Under certain conditions the spirit can go beyond regular space and time.
Learn to have your heart closer to Pangu.  The root of much illness is the worry about money. Why not let it go?
Would you like to seek after eternal life?  You must learn true kindness, to truly open your heart...Set this as your goal, try your best.

Hi George, Thanks for the sharing of Master Ouís teachings!
I think I know why Richard canít see your links.  Letís start from some histories of the Great Wall of China, the building of the Great Wall was started around The Warring States Period (475 Ė 221 BC), then the first  emperor of China - Qin ordered the further strengthened/rebuild of the Great Wall by the States around 221 -206 BC. This started the tradition of the maintaining/building of the Great Wall by the subsequent central governments (extracted from http://www.chinahighlights.com/greatwall/history/).    Today, there is an invisible Great Firewall built around China to filter information that flows in/out of the nation.  So donít be surprised if you canít access some of the sites that you use everyday while you are there.

Nice pictures, George. I especially like the one of Teacher Ou in a white hat.

In order to reply to Richard's problem of seeing the pictures that George posted, I started another thread here.

Hello George,  thank you for your sharing these insights from Master Ou. I'm happy to hear that you will be successful on soul. And I believe, if we think and behave accordingly base on Kindness and Benevolence with opening heart, our soul would be more kind and pure, eternity is more approaching, right?

Jiegang, thanks for useful link about Chinese history. It was very hard to describe our history in English  every time I had met this situation before. Now you provide a good one, and I will try to read and learn something from that website. Thanks again!

Michael, I agree with you the especial one that Master Ou wore a white hat, standing by the pilliar while stretching his hands with smile. Because George had sent me some nice pictures already before : )
As VPN, I had used before even paid very small money for a technician monthly. However, it was too slow speed for viewing facebook or youtube, finally I stopped it. Another reason is too busy working! But thank you anyway, sounds workable on the links : )
