A Wonderful Day – Pangu Shengong One Day Retreat

On May 15, 2021, we had a wonderful day with all the Pangu Shengong students who attended the One Day Retreat via zoom, broadcasted live from Pangu Ranch. Please see the feedback below:

“The Saturday Retreat was SO wonderful, I do not even have words to describe it. I send my gratitude to your whole family at Pangu Ranch. I experience the Qi as though I am right there at the Ranch, and it is stronger than ever before. I feel my body can barely hold it all! My favorite part was the morning practice along with the video featuring the Heart garden/ reflecting pool/ and Heaven, Earth Humanity Harmony garden. I would like to practice daily with that video. It filled my heart, mind, and soul to the brim.

Just so you know, the power in both videos (the Moving Form group practice video and the video with Master Ou’s profound talks) is beyond imagination, stronger than I’ve ever felt.”

“The video was so beautiful, it brought tears to me and filled my heart. Thank you!”

“Music brought tears to my eyes. So beautiful!”

“Ranch is so beautiful and inspiring. I’m inspired to work in my yard.”

“I enjoyed and loved the beautiful video and learned so much from the lecture today. I really appreciate this wonderful day, thank you so much!”

“I am as happy as a duck today and I feel strongly appreciative like Mighty! Thank you so much for a most special and happy and truly beautiful day.”

“Thank you for a great video! I felt like I was at Pangu Ranch today. Very transformative and healing. Thank you for this wonderful gift!”

“Brings back wonderful memories of Master Ou cooking for everyone at Jason & Kitty’s in Boston. So much love in the food!”

The highlights of this special retreat:

Live lecture:

Master Ou shared his understanding of life and the secret of creating a healthy, happy, and meaningful life. He emphasized the importance of being humble and working hard to create a healthy and beautiful life. He also elaborated on the true meaning of humility and how to achieve it.

Video with lectures:

When Master Ou moved to Pangu Ranch he desired to create a beautiful environment for his students to experience and enjoy when they visited.

Unfortunately, it was not possible to have an onsite workshop this spring, so Master Ou created a video with two goals. The first goal was to share with his students a typical day for him on Pangu Ranch, so that we may use it as a resource for learning how to apply the principles of Pangu Shengong to our daily tasks. The second goal was to give the audience a tour of Pangu Ranch so that they could experience the beauty that he has been working so hard to create.

During the video, Master Ou created several profound talks, which were translated into English and provided via voiceover. The audience was shown how Master Ou infuses everyday daily activities with his Pangu Shengong practice to improve efficiency, to balance the heavy physical labor, to create harmonious relationships with everything around, and to create a healthier and happier life for oneself and others. Several of Master Ou’s healing songs were included as background music which brought calmness and inspiration to viewers, moving some to tears.

Special Group Practice:

We have created a second video to use during the retreat’s group practice, allowing participants to practice with us visually and energetically in a few of the most amazing locations on Pangu Ranch, including: the Heart Garden, the Reflecting Pond, and the Unifying Heaven & Humanity Garden.

The first location was the Heart Garden. Master Ou designed and built, with the help of some students, a heart shaped garden. He designed this garden with energy to help us master the ability of broadening our hearts for this is one of the key guiding principles of Pangu Shengong – To have a broad heart, to love all people, and all things in nature.

The second location was the Reflecting Pond. The pond was present when we moved into Pangu Ranch, but Master Ou redesigned the atmosphere and introduced different vegetation to surround many parts of the pond. Water is an excellent tool for purification – what better place to practice Pangu Shengong and work to purify our hearts and souls.

The third location was the Unifying Heaven & Humanity Garden. Master Ou, on several occasions, previously shared the importance of the concept of “heaven, earth, and humanity in harmony”. He desired to create a garden that would help inspire and motivate his students to achieve this result – to be in harmony with heaven and earth. For when this occurs, we will have achieved the highest level of cultivation.

Cooking Class with Master Ou:

Many of Master Ou’s students who have had the opportunity to share a meal with him and enjoy his homecooked dishes have asked him to include cooking lessons with his talks. During this retreat, Master Ou with the assistance of Mandy and others at Pangu Ranch shared recipes, cooking techniques, and helpful tips for cooking a very tasty and satisfying fish dish with a plate of leafy greens.

We chose these two dishes because by learning the techniques we shared one can simply vary the fish and/or leafy green and create a wide variety of tasty and healthy meals to share with others.

At Pangu Ranch we typically have fish several times per week at either lunch and/or dinner. Unfortunately, when we eat out at restaurants, we experience that chefs many times overcook fish and create a meal that is both dry and not very tasty. Therefore, Master Ou wanted to share a recipe and technique for cooking fish. The fish we cooked was salmon and the leafy green vegetable was romaine lettuce. During our travels to many places in the USA, we have noticed that it is common practice for many to eat their vegetables raw, in the form of a salad. However, it is very uncommon for us to eat our foods raw. We cook most of our foods, including the lettuce that is commonly found in raw salads. The technique we demonstrated to cook romaine lettuce can be used with any leafy green. Leafy greens are very easy to cook and provide a nice balancing taste to any meat or fish you choose.

The cooking class concluded this spring’s retreat. We had a wonderful time! For those who were unable to attend, I hope to see you at Master Ou’s next lecture series which will start May 29th, and his next retreat this coming winter.
