Welcoming Spring With Master Ou’s 2010 Birthday Party Celebration

Master Ou’s birthday corresponds to December 28th of the Chinese lunar calendar. The Chinese lunar calendar differs from the western calendar and as such the date of his Birthday is different each year. This year his birthday fell on February 11, 2010 according to the western calendar.

To celebrate his Birthday, 1,300 Pangu Shengong students came together in Southern China. The banquet hall was very welcoming and beautifully decorated thanks to the meticulous planning of many of the students.

First on the agenda was the final round of a singing competition of Master Ou’s songs. During the previous six months, students from different areas were actively involved in the singing competition. From preliminary contests and quarter-finals, which included hundreds of programs, they came for the finals.

The finals featured 29 different performances. Although none of the performers were professional singers they all sang deeply in a heartfelt way. To name a few in particular, Jessica Lin from the U.S. sang a solo, “Spring Has Come,” with a voice like clear spring water; students from Zhongshan City formed a chorus and sang “What is Love?”, performing skillfully with beautiful singing as they expressed the true meaning of love; students from Yue Xiu District in Guangzhou sang “Motherland” with deep affection; another group of students, from Dong Shan District in Guangzhou, sang “Benevolent and Beautiful” in a harmonious and moving way. All the performers were greeted with warm applause from the audience.

Master Ou Enjoying the Music
Master Ou’s songs contain strong healing energy and are filled with deep rich emotions. Many of his students had experienced incredible improvements to their health and well being from Pangu Shengong practice and from listening to his healing music. As a result the performers sincerely sang his songs while filled with gratitude. This resulted in deep performances that Master Ou greatly enjoyed listening to.

After nearly three hours of competition, the results were announced for the: Outstanding Award, First, Second, and Third places. Mandy announced the names, while Master Ou awarded the prizes to the winners.

Later on the banquet began with all 1,300 students singing “Happy Birthday”. During the singing, Master Ou received flowers from two young children and he cut the birthday cake. Then everyone drank a toast to celebrate, wishing Master Ou “happy birthday” again as he wished health and happiness to all of his students!

Shortly after everyone was treated to a delicious dinner filled with wonderful food. During the dinner, Master Ou and Mandy went around to every table, greeting everyone and there was a very festive atmosphere to the party.

After the dinner, Master Ou recited his newest poem entitled “In Appreciation of Autumn,” which was written in the ancient classic Chinese style. Every one appreciated this poem about the beauty and goodness of nature.

Students then performed various programs on stage. There was singing by a group of young children, performances involving musical instruments as well as beautiful and colorful dancing. A touching moment occurred when some mentally challenged children with very low IQs sang one of Master Ou’s songs. They had been involved in using Master Ou’s healing music to improve their health and many of them had seen significant improvement in their cognitive abilities. It was heartwarming to witness first hand this improvement by watching these young students sincerely sing one of Master Ou’s songs.

Near the end of the party, Master Ou played an electronic keyboard while singing one of his newest songs entitled “Green grass”.

Green grass, very green,
Very green, green grass:
It has a strong life force,
Not afraid of hot weather,
Not afraid of cold weather;
No matter in the east or the west,
No matter in the north or the south,
It can still make a home,
It can still grow

Green grass, green grass,
Covering fields all over with green,
Covering hillsides all over with green,
Providing the great earth with scenic beauty.

Green grass, green grass,
Welcoming the breeze,
Welcoming the sunshine,
Providing all things with happy hopes—
I appreciate your strong will;
I also like your green waves
dancing in the wind:
Beautiful green waves.

After singing the song, Master Ou expressed his deeply felt wish for the audience: “I hope your life-force is as strong as the grass that can grow in health wherever it finds itself.” These encouraging and inspiring words left a deep impression in everyone’s minds. And with that the banquet came to an end and everyone was grateful to have spent such a wonderful day listening to this inspiring healing music.
