How is God Of Saucer’s character different and/or the same from your previous conception of The Divine and what responses does that give rise to?

God of Saucer was about as far from the God of my understanding as it gets... The first time I read the POL of life I was in the throws of studying Sufism and heart based healing, which left little to no room for a less than perfect God, and also focused on repentance, asking forgiveness for mistakes... After reading the POL I was stunned at first by God of Saucer's nature. Pangu took some getting used to. Not having much of a background in Chinese Culture both God of Saucer and Pangu felt foreign. God of Saucer's character seemed to bypass the idea of perfection, especially considering that HE was the perpetrator in the opening chapters. Volume One of The Path of Life introduces us to the concept of people having "two hearts," which must be combined, first by Master Ou, and later by all people. How do you see these hearts best becoming combined? Do you see any significance in Master Ou's initial exercises in heart combination? I believe that when our earthly heart and heavenly heart combine together our body and soul will be in absolute harmonious relationship. The level of my heart and soul will match the requirements of Pangu, of God. Perhaps our heavenly heart and earthly heart could also be divided as intentions and actions. My intentions and my actions would have congruency. My intentions would be purified enough that they would come directly from the kind portion of my soul, from heaven, and ultimately the portion that is deeply connected to Pangu.Read More

This chapter seems to mirror the war within our own hearts of righteousness vs. evil. Ultimately goodness will prevail as indicated by the banana leaf pointing downward with indignation. Because this is our humanity’s collective destiny. In Master Ou's song "What is Affection", there is one line in the song that has often confused me: "Affection is destiny". I understand it more now.
