A Report from the Gainesville Florida Pangu Shengong Classes – by Jason Davis

I was fortunate to attend the recent Pangu Shengong courses offered in Gainesville Florida. Reflecting back it was great to see many familiar as well as new faces at the course. Many people had travelled from all over the US as well as one from Canada and another from China. The accommodations were very comfortable including both the conference room and hotel rooms.

I always appreciate the opportunity to take a weekend set of Pangu Shengong (Pan Gu Mystical Qigong) courses with Master Ou. He always shares his deep knowledge during the lectures and helps us to improve not only our health but also encourages us to increase the level of our kindness. I have taken the standard set of courses many times but each time the experience feels deeper to me. What made the weekend in Gainesville particularly interesting were the specialty courses being offered. There were two Intuition development course as well as classes on Advanced Topics, The Path of Life, Pangu Tai Chi, and Pangu Yoga.

There was strong interest in the Pangu Tai Chi course with many people taking the opportunity to improve their forms from Vincent Chu and his 40 plus years of experience. Also, the Pangu Yoga class under the expert guidance of Anisha Desai Fraser was very well received. Many people commented on how powerful the two practices are because they have been infused with the Pangu Shengong energy. I appreciated that some classes were geared towards long time students while others like the path of life were designed to include intermediate students and there were beginner classes for the new students. My personal favorite course has always been the intuition development course. The images I see are very mystical and meaningful to me and I always feel a sacred energy throughout my body at the end of that course. A few people commented that they appreciated having two intuition classes offered because it allowed them to go even deeper in the second class.

On Saturday night, everyone was invited to attend a group dinner to enjoy Master Ou’s cooking. Thirty people accepted his invitation and I am always amazed by Master Ou’s dedication. He teaches all day and then cooks for his students. He teaches by example and shows us how to be truly kind to others and always creates a warm atmosphere for everyone to enjoy themselves. Plus the skill and efficiency he demonstrates in cooking for such a large group in such a short period of time is remarkable. The meal consisted of salad, shrimp, ribs, fried eggs with beef and pork, chicken and vegetables, watermelon and honeydew melon. Everyone commented on how delicious the food was.

I always leave these courses full of gratitude for the opportunity to study from such a wonderful teacher. I am constantly amazed by how profoundly transformative these weekends are. My wish is that I can put into practice these lessons so that I may become a kinder person and I can’t wait to attend more classes in the near future.

I would like to share some comments from other participants on the event as well.

“When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see the hotel surrounded by live oaks draped in Spanish moss –quite the mystical scene. The mystical feeling continued as the weekend progressed. Time seemed to slow down so I could fully soak up the qi and the profound messages from Master Ou’s lectures. As always, I enjoyed catching up with students from different part of the country and getting to know new students. I appreciate John Paul’s and Olivia’s thoughtful planning which included two intuition developments, a long advanced topics lecture as well as Pangu tai chi and yoga classes. All in all a qierrific retreat!”

“These events are gatherings of fellow students who make you smile inside and out. We share something very profound in the gift of the practice. I got to see old and new friends all weekend and still smile thinking about them. Many of us also attended Vincent Chu’s classes on Pangu Tai Chi and share the bond of that complementing experience.

We all came to Gainesville to be with Master Ou and learn and heal with him. We came to understand his teaching and revelations. I think he came to help us to attain a higher level.”

“I felt nothing but gains in Gainseville. The weekend retreat, especially the teacher advanced classes, was great fun. It was also delicious with Master Ou’s cooking. While there, I learned the asset of taking on, participating in and learning the extra practices of Pangu tai chi and Pangu yoga that became a fun experience of increased fellowship and a helpful goldmine for me to more ably absorb and move through the fruit of Master Ou’s seminars all the more richly and deeply. I was pleased to see I could work hard and enjoy a peaceful mindset for so many rich hours without any fatigue. I was delighted to enjoy laughter and skill building and a broad, loving feeling with so many wonderful others, too. “

“Once a year, Master Ou teaches a series of classes, gives healing sessions, and is joined by Anisha Fraser and Vincent Chu, offering the supplemental Pangu practices of Pangu Yoga and Pangu Tai Chi.
For those of us fortunate enough to have been Master Ou’s students for some time, it’s an opportunity to delve more deeply into Pangu philosophy, share experiences and ask Master Ou those questions that only he can answer. Certainly, this year was as captivating and engaging as the previous one’s, adding distinct feelings of deepening friendships as many of us who haven’t seen each other in some time look forward to reunions along with the classes.”
